Job Description – Web Designer / Developer
As a Web Designer / Developer at Techspo, your primary responsibility is to design, build, and maintain modern, responsive websites that reflect our brand and support our products. You will take creative concepts and translate them into functional digital experiences using clean, efficient code. This role requires a balance of design sensibility and technical expertise, ensuring that every site is visually engaging, user‑friendly, and optimized for performance.
You will collaborate with marketing, product, and design teams to understand campaign goals, target audiences, and product positioning, then deliver websites that meet those needs. Beyond front‑end development, you’ll contribute to ongoing improvements in usability, accessibility, and cross‑platform compatibility. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across design tools and coding frameworks, with a strong eye for detail and a passion for creating seamless digital experiences.
🔑 Key Objectives
- Deliver responsive, visually appealing websites aligned with Techspo’s brand identity.
- Ensure websites are optimized for performance, accessibility, and cross‑browser compatibility.
- Support product launches and marketing campaigns with tailored web experiences.
📌 Primary Areas of Accountability
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to design and implement new website features.
- Write clean, maintainable code in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (framework experience preferred).
- Optimize websites for speed, SEO, and mobile responsiveness.
- Maintain and update corporate and product websites with fresh content and design improvements.
- Develop reusable components and style guides to ensure consistency across platforms.
🛠 Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS (SCSS preferred), and JavaScript.
- Experience with responsive design and cross‑browser testing.
- Familiarity with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, or Sketch.
- Knowledge of CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify, or similar) a plus.
- Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and accessibility standards.
🎓 Education & Experience
- Advanced degree or equivalent experience in Web Design/Development.
- Minimum of 3 years professional experience in front‑end web development.
- Proven track record of building responsive, user‑friendly websites.
- Experience with eCommerce platforms and SEO optimization preferred.
